Swatch Group Corporate Accountant

Swatch Group is an international group involved in the design, manufacture, and sale of watches, jewelry, watch movements, and components. The company supplies nearly all components required by its 16 watch brands and provides movements and components to third-party watchmakers globally. Swatch Group is also a significant player in the manufacture and sale of electronic systems used in watchmaking.

1. Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple retail, ecommerce, and wholesale profit centers.
2. Perform month-end general ledger account reconciliations and reviews.
3. Prepare analysis and journal entries for multiple profit centers.
4. Assist with monthly preparation of financial reports and financial statements.
5. Act as a resource during the annual audit by providing supporting documentation.
6. Maintain accounting controls by reviewing, preparing, and recommending policies and procedures.
7. Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet summaries, analyses, and roll-forwards.
8. Research and respond to inquiries from internal team members, management, and related parties.
9. Maintain integrity of data in accounts and functional areas of responsibility.
10. Work on process improvement projects as assigned.
11. Perform special projects to assist the department and the company in achieving its goals.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a public or corporate accounting role.
3. Proficiency with the financial system SAP.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong interpersonal skills.
6. Strong mathematical skills.
7. Organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
8. Strong analytical skills.
9. Working knowledge of GAAP principles.
10. Attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Strong learning ability and problem-solving skills.
12. Intermediate or advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
13. Strong time management skills.

1. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
2. Bilingual is preferred but not required

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a public or corporate accounting role.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
