Swatch Group Construction Project Financial Controller

- Conduct comprehensive audits of capital expenditures on construction projects to ensure compliance with company policies and budget alignment.
- Guide Project Managers in aligning actual costs with budgets and facilitate the corporate capital expenditure request process.
- Oversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and job-costing processes.
- Resolve financial discrepancies through detailed account analysis.
- Safeguard financial information by executing database backups and maintaining internal controls.
- Perform due diligence on bids and contracts, ensuring thorough evaluation.
- Maintain a historical cost database for all construction projects.
- Ensure brand databases, files, and budgeted items are accurately maintained and updated.
- Develop and update a masterplan of all projects with detailed weekly tracking.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely permit applications and address any delays.
- Communicate project timeline adjustments and specifications with the Director of Retail Development.
- Analyze statistical data and variances related to projects.
- Ensure adherence to departmental processes and provide timely reporting packages and monthly analyses.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
- Familiarity with construction project management.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting.
- Experience with SAP financial systems.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and thoroughness skills with attention to detail.
- Analytical skills with problem-solving capabilities.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time management skills.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on construction project management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
