Swatch Group Construction Project Controller

- Review and oversee a full audit of all capital expenditures on construction projects.
- Monitor budgeted amounts to comply with HQ policies and budgets.
- Ensure project managers' actual costs align with budgets and guide them through corporate capital expenditure request steps.
- Oversee work-in-progress reporting and job-costing processes.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
- Complete due diligence on all bids and contracts.
- Create and maintain a database of historical cost information for all construction projects.
- Ensure brand databases, files, and budgeted items are properly notated and up to date.
- Create and maintain a master plan of all projects with weekly updates.
- Work with the team to ensure timely application for all necessary permits.
- Identify patterns of delay and communicate with the Director of Retail Development.
- Review project timelines, product specifications, and production schedules.
- Calculate statistical information and variances related to the project.
- Ensure daily processes for all projects are maintained.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting packages and monthly analyses related to the monthly close.
- Perform all other duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
- Familiarity with construction project management.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting.
- Proficiency with the financial system SAP.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organized, accurate, and thorough.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong learning ability and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Strong time management skills.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with familiarity in construction project management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
