Swatch Group Accounts Payable Officer

Swatch Group is a diversified multinational holding company, recognized as the world's largest watchmaking group. It is engaged in the manufacture and sale of finished watches, jewelry, watch movements, and components. The company supplies nearly all components required for its 16 individual brands, including Glashütte Original, OMEGA, Longines, Tissot, and Swatch. Swatch Group is also a leader in sports event timing and the manufacture of electronic systems used in watchmaking and other industries.

1. Process invoices
2. Assist managers and coordinators with documentation related to purchases
3. Prepare payments (EFT, BPAY & Foreign Currency) weekly for third-party suppliers and staff expense claims
4. Prepare intercompany payments monthly and manage the AP Ledger
5. Process manual journals for reclassification and month-end accrual entries
6. Enter data from invoices into SAP
7. Perform monthly vendor reconciliation
8. Ensure correct authorization and coding
9. Process retail cash float reconciliation timely
10. Handle urgent payment requests, including foreign currency transactions

1. Appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline

1. Proven Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
2. EFT payment experience
3. Experience with high volume staff expense payment and validation according to company policy
4. Experience with accruals and reconciliations
5. Basic understanding of debits and credits as well as General Ledger accounting codes
6. SAP and strong Excel skills

The role requires working 5 days on-site at the Richmond Head Office, located in Victoria, Australia. The environment is busy and fast-paced, requiring the ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask effectively.
