Accounts Payable Officer

Swatch Group is a diversified multinational holding company and the world's largest watchmaking group, involved in the manufacture and sale of finished watches, jewelry, watch movements, and components. It supplies nearly all components required for watches sold by its 16 individual brands, including Glashütte Original, OMEGA, Longines, Tissot, and Swatch. The company is also a leader in sports event timing and electronic systems used in watchmaking and other industries.

1. Process invoices
2. Assist managers and coordinators with documentation related to purchases
3. Prepare payments (EFT, BPAY & Foreign Currency) weekly for suppliers and staff expenses
4. Prepare intercompany payments monthly and manage the AP Ledger
5. Process manual journals for reclassification and month-end accrual entries
6. Enter data from invoices into SAP
7. Perform monthly vendor reconciliation
8. Ensure invoices are correctly authorized and coded
9. Process retail cash float reconciliation timely
10. Handle urgent payment requests, including foreign currency transactions

1. Appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline

1. Proven Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
2. EFT payment experience
3. Experience with high volume staff expense payment and validation
4. Experience with accruals and reconciliations
5. Basic understanding of debits and credits and General Ledger accounting codes
6. SAP and strong Excel skills

The role requires working 5 days on-site at the Richmond Head Office, in a busy, fast-paced environment. The candidate should have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask.
