Transportation Specialist

1. Route all domestic inbound pickup requests.
2. Work closely with vendors and carriers to improve processes and reduce costs.
3. Organize shipments and plan loads for inbound operations to Sephora distribution centers.
4. Serve as a communication point with domestic vendors.
5. Assist with carrier selection and rates for daily shipping.
6. Coordinate truck pickups with the selected carrier network.
7. Partner with vendors and buyers to support inbound business requirements.
8. Process carrier freight claims from research to settlement.
9. Ensure shipment tracking, tracing, and handle inquiries including rate quotes and special requests.
10. Work with carriers regarding performance and rates.
11. Ensure compliance with safety and government DOT/FAA regulations and HAZMAT requirements.
12. Manage activities associated with domestic transportation services including RFP activity, carrier selection, rate negotiations, cost controls, and management reporting.
13. Collaborate with internal customers to develop and maintain goals and processes that support Sephora's overall goals.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

1. Logistics or BA/BS degree/experience strongly preferred.
2. Preferred 2-3+ years of analytical experience in logistics and forwarding management.
3. Previous experience with distribution centers and foreign suppliers and providers.

1. Understanding of logistics operations including Ground/Truck.
2. Proficiency with transportation systems.
3. Experience with logistics systems (Delivery Solutions, TMS, WMS, Freight Optimization, Load Planning) preferred.

Preferred 2-3+ years of analytical experience in logistics and forwarding management.
