Sephora Senior Manager, Payroll

- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce, including both hourly and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial tax laws, including T4 filings, CPP, EI remittances, and vacation pay requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll systems to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and employment standards to implement necessary adjustments.
- Serve as the payroll subject matter expert within the team and for internal stakeholders, auditors, and the payroll provider.
- Analyze, audit, reconcile, and resolve payroll and timekeeping processing and employee payroll issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on global mobility, tax, benefits, and new business activities.
- Lead the preparation of year-end reporting and handle amendments as required.
- Develop and enforce internal controls for payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Resolve complex payroll inquiries and tax-related issues promptly.
- Implement process improvements and manage system upgrades or transitions.
- Lead and manage a payroll team, overseeing task assignments and workloads.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in payroll management.
- Proven leadership in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Hands-on experience with Payroll, Time and Attendance, and HRIS systems.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- PCP certification preferred.
- Experience with Dayforce application is a plus.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll laws, including CRA requirements and provincial employment standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including change management.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to implement effective solutions.
A minimum of 8 years in payroll management with proven leadership experience.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
