- Support distribution-order fulfillment centers through discovery, design, testing, and implementation of improved procedures, systems, and equipment.
- Develop cost benefit analyses and financial models to support distribution center requirements and design alternatives.
- Collaborate with operations management to implement changes for cost reduction and service improvements.
- Track key performance indicators to assess automation system effectiveness and identify optimization areas.
- Act as a liaison with material handling equipment vendors.
- Develop and maintain labor standards and productivity monitoring systems for distribution centers.
- Conduct time and motion studies to support production standards.
- Assist with capital improvement projects, including developing estimates for equipment, systems, and personnel needs.
- Research ergonomic and safety issues and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide technical support to Maintenance, Operations, and IT departments.
- Analyze current operating plans to identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements.
- Conduct operations forecasting for staffing, assets, and facility needs.
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Mechanical.
- Five or more years of related industrial engineering experience in a distribution environment.
- Experience with WES/WMS/WCS systems, Labor Reporting Systems, MOST, and Standards Pro.
- Familiarity with automation vendors and material handling technology applications.
- Experience with distribution planning models and awareness of material handling technology applications.
- Proficiency in CAD, MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, MS Access, and Visio.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Five or more years of related industrial engineering experience, particularly in distribution environments.
Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
The annual base salary range for this position is $110,840.00 - $123,880.00, with eligibility for bonuses.
