Sephora Senior Category Manager
Sephora, a leading beauty retailer, operates under the auspices of the LVMH Group, a global leader in luxury goods. With a robust presence across Australia and New Zealand, Sephora boasts approximately 34 stores and a burgeoning online platform, with plans for continued expansion. The head office is strategically located in the Sydney Central Business District, offering a dynamic environment for professionals in the beauty industry.
- Track omni-channel category performance against set KPIs across channels, markets, segments, margin, productivity, brand conversion, and stock management.
- Execute and implement programs in alignment with category strategies as defined in budget and strategy planning.
- Monitor and identify new trends, brands, merchandising programs, and ad-hoc strategies to optimize category growth and performance.
- Coordinate and maintain brand agreement sign-offs and renewals.
- Develop annual brand plans, including product launch calendars and sales targets.
- Ensure a productive assortment for each brand in accordance with linear productivity measures.
- Manage new sell-in processes, including data validation and submission.
- Plan and secure key animation slots for brands, negotiating check-out sampling aligned with the Animation Calendar.
- Monitor and measure assigned brand performance against category sales and profitability benchmarks.
- Conduct half-yearly rationalization of brands and assortments.
- Coordinate and execute launch plans for new brands, including sell-in, vendor forms, sales forecasts, and first pipe orders.
- Manage floorplans, store openings, and renovations, ensuring brand placement aligns with category principles.
- Work with supply chain to meet stockholding KPIs and propose action plans for SKUs with high stockholding and discontinued SKUs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence
- Strong analytical skills
- Result-oriented
- A keen interest in the beauty industry with a flair for trends and style
At least 10 years of account or brand management experience, ideally within the beauty or fashion industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
