- Implement people strategies related to the Employee Journey aligned with field business initiatives.
- Establish consistent HR best practices across all stores.
- Identify opportunities to improve current processes and lead change initiatives.
- Ensure alignment and execution of HR initiatives and support major HR programs.
- Coach field managers on time management and HR-related matters.
- Provide consistent communication to the HR Director, Retail Canada, regarding employee relations issues.
- Travel to stores within the market proactively and on demand.
- Guide and train teams on policy interpretation and compliance.
- Ensure legal compliance with provincial Employment Standards and Human Rights.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations complaints and concerns.
- Support Loss Prevention investigations with HR advice and documentation.
- Diagnose performance concerns and offer effective solutions.
- Support and reinforce Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- Build and review HR metrics platforms aligned with field initiatives.
- Support leadership planning processes and employee engagement strategies.
- Lead the annual performance appraisal process for employees.
- Partner with Total Rewards on performance appraisal and merit increase processes.
- Conduct HR onboarding for District Managers and Store Leadership.
- Conduct regular HR reviews.
- 3-5 years of HR retail leadership experience.
- University or College degree in Human Resources Management.
- Strong grasp of Canadian Employment Law and HR judgment.
- Fluency in French and English is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Adaptability and team collaboration.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Change management expertise.
3-5 years of HR retail leadership experience is required.
University or College degree in Human Resources Management.
