- Collaborate with internal clients on business initiatives, lease modifications, renewals, amendments, and general real estate matters.
- Serve as the primary contact for lease compliance issues, interacting cross-functionally to build strong relationships.
- Handle new leases with expert analysis, exercising clear judgment to achieve business outcomes.
- Support store growth initiatives and expansion, ensuring compliance with relevant real estate and environmental laws.
- Assist in managing company compliance, responding to real estate legal requests, and supporting dispute and litigation responses.
- Develop and deliver presentations and materials for ongoing projects.
- Manage legal issues related to estoppel certificates and Subordination Non-Disturbance and Attornment Agreements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of processes, maintaining and improving workflows and policies.
- Advise on issues related to store construction and maintenance, fostering a solution-oriented partnership with internal clients and external counsel.
- Collaborate with the lease compliance team to respond to requests and foster a culture of teamwork.
- Membership in the California Bar or another state bar.
- Strong academic credentials and training at a major national law firm; in-house experience is a plus.
- Expertise in real estate law with the ability to make decisions with minimal oversight.
- Strong project management skills, detail-oriented and organized.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for providing superior customer service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate law is required.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
The annual base salary range for this position is $169,000 to $175,000, with eligibility for bonuses.
