1. Develop Java-based APIs as part of the Omni payments team.
2. Contribute to the design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and performance of Sephora's eCommerce platform.
3. Analyze and make tactical decisions supporting Sephora's strategic direction.
4. Ensure compliance with Sephora policies and industry best practices.

1. Must be graduating in 2026 or 2027 with an undergraduate or graduate degree.
2. Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
3. Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for full-time hybrid positions.
4. Available from June 1 - August 14, 2026, including a 1-week on-site experience in San Francisco.

1. Proficiency in Java and API development.
2. Basic knowledge of AI, Model-context Protocol, and software 2.0.
3. Familiarity with design patterns such as circuit breaker, Backend For Frontend (BFF), Saga, and CQRS.
4. Experience with AI pair programming tools like GitHub Copilot.
5. Knowledge of Kafka, event-driven architecture, and databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL.
6. Ability to write and call RESTful APIs.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Results-oriented and self-motivated.

No prior professional experience required, but relevant coursework or projects in software development and eCommerce engineering are advantageous.

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, graduating in 2026 or 2027.

The target hourly pay for this position is $25.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
