1. Lead and oversee day-to-day inbound and cross-border operations, including non-traditional schedules during peak periods.
2. Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of trade compliance and logistics professionals.
3. Foster a collaborative and improvement-driven culture within the team.
4. Stay up-to-date on regulations and industry trends to lead an effective customs compliance program.
5. Identify and resolve areas of non-compliance with proactive measures and innovative solutions.
6. Ensure customs compliance from entry to post-audit across air, ground, and ocean freight.
7. Provide expert guidance to new and existing brands on international import/export requirements.
8. Analyze data to drive process optimization and embed a continuous improvement mindset.
9. Develop and implement strategies that optimize global supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
10. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure partners meet service level agreements.
11. Prepare clear and concise daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
12. Maximize duty avoidance opportunities through trade agreements and duty reduction programs.
13. Own and maintain HS Tariff classifications determinations for the complete product assortment.
14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes.
15. Own and manage customs compliance lines within the Logistics P&L, driving cost-saving initiatives.
16. Build and nurture strong relationships with consultants, international vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
17. Evaluate and onboard new vendors based on performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
18. Support the development and documentation of key processes to ensure operational excellence.

1. 3-5 years of recent, relevant experience in customs compliance or logistics.
2. A post-secondary education from a college or university.
3. A strong understanding of corporate compliance risks and the ability to address or mitigate them effectively.
4. Expertise in customs processes, including entry, drawback, and HS classification.
5. Experience with transportation logistics, particularly inbound operations.
6. Familiarity with the CARM portal.
7. CCS designation (Certified Customs Specialist).
