- Safeguard store assets against theft through surveillance and CCTV monitoring.
- Adhere to legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and accident investigations.
- Foster professional relationships with internal partners, law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
- Testify in court for criminal or civil cases as required.
- Conduct new hire and ongoing employee training to enhance loss prevention awareness.
- Perform store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to leadership.
- Assist with inventory preparation and process.
- Collaborate with store and district management to develop and implement shrinkage prevention plans.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail environment.
- Meet and maintain all provincial or local licensing requirements.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
A minimum of one year in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail setting is required.
