- Support the Commercial Legal function by managing various administrative tasks.
- Distribute time-sensitive legal correspondence and inquiries to appropriate team members.
- Assist attorneys with research and responses to inquiries and correspondence.
- Maintain and manage calendars for the Associate General Counsel and three attorneys, including contract deadlines and court hearings.
- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal memos, correspondence, and reports.
- Perform complex administrative duties requiring knowledge of legal terminology and processes.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, travel, and depositions/hearings.
- Maintain legal department policies, contracts, and correspondence.
- Review and maintain outside counsel legal billings and provide variance reports.
- Support the management of a legal library of standard contract templates.
- Assist paralegals with legal document management and filing.
- Ensure attorney compliance with CLE database.
- Process commercial legal reimbursements and check requests.
- Manage equipment inventory for the Commercial, Litigation, and Employment teams.
- Undertake special projects as assigned by the Associate General Counsel and Senior Attorneys.
- At least 5 years of commercial contract experience in a top law firm or in-house setting.
- Association of Legal Administration (ALA) Legal Management certification is a plus.
- Experience providing legal support in a retail or consumer goods company.
- Technical proficiency with databases and document management software.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication, negotiating, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and business impact.
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong follow-up skills.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contract management, preferably within a top law firm or in-house legal department.
The annual base salary range for this position is $81,685.00 - $91,295.00, with potential eligibility for bonuses.
