Lead Engineer, Performance Engineering

1. Conduct non-functional requirement gathering and assess software application architecture.
2. Formulate a software performance testing strategy.
3. Utilize user behavior analysis tools to examine production behavior and generate test use cases.
4. Establish the test schedule, identify dependencies, assess risks, and develop mitigation plans.
5. Specify performance tools, test data, access requirements, and database volume needs.
6. Craft performance test scripts using JMeter and Load Runner.
7. Set up monitoring to collect operating system statistics and application metrics.
8. Execute various performance tests including baseline, load, stress, volume, and failover.
9. Monitor application components, servers, and databases during test execution.
10. Analyze key performance metrics using monitoring tools.
11. Conduct production synthetic load testing and create micro-services snapshots.
12. Collaborate with application partners to schedule continuous performance testing.

1. Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
2. Six years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in software testing.

Six years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the offered position, as a Test Engineer, or in a related role performing software testing.

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.

Salary: $166,900 to $193,300 per year depending on experience.
