Sephora HR Payroll Specialist

- Conduct thorough reviews of employee timesheets to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate processing.
- Collaborate with leaders on inaccuracies, providing coaching as needed.
- Support and coordinate system upgrades within the timekeeping platform, Dayforce, leading change management efforts at the Distribution Centers.
- Manage the distribution and mailing of paper checks, oversee direct deposit setup and changes, and ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Apply and file documentation notes for instances such as jury duty or bereavement to maintain organized compliant employee records.
- Provide guidance and training to leaders to effectively use the Dayforce system.
- Work closely with Sephora Headquarters to address escalated or complex payroll issues.
- Accurately maintain attendance and timekeeping reporting.
- Review and analyze payroll reporting as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of compliance and pay-related laws to ensure adherence to legal standards.
- Extract data from various systems and create regularly scheduled and on-demand reports to support operations and HR team.
- Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected, filed, and maintained.
- Process employee changes, such as internal movement, termination, and other status changes.
- Manage programs such as employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, Dayforce Wallet, and Perfect Attendance.
- Provide employee support for frequently asked questions regarding policies, benefits, hiring processes, and payroll.
- Assist with internal communications, employee recognition programs, and incentive initiatives.
- Support conducting New Hire Orientation sessions as needed.
- Support processing payroll and assisting with daily timekeeping inquiries as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of related Human Resources experience, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing facility.
- Thorough knowledge of current employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with modern payroll software and HRIS preferred; Dayforce and SAP preferred but not required.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Ability to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to a fast-paced environment.
2+ years of related Human Resources experience, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing facility.
