- Develop and execute the annual merchandising strategy in collaboration with the VP of Merchandising, with a strategic vision extending over three years.
- Cultivate and leverage key account relationships across Asia to enhance negotiations.
- Collaborate with merchants in China, Southeast Asia/Pacific, and new markets to create comprehensive briefs using compelling storytelling techniques.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement pilot programs, analyze outcomes, and formulate recommendations.
- Analyze Sephora's business elements to identify emerging trends and opportunities, delivering insights to the merchandising leadership team.
- Identify underdeveloped categories within Sephora Asia and propose investment strategies.
- Develop and track a seed strategy for category development opportunities across China, Southeast Asia/Pacific, and new markets.
- Evaluate new brands and collaborate with merchants for product introductions.
- Prepare for the transition away from animal testing requirements in China in collaboration with the VP of Merchandising China.
- Support the VP in strategic planning, merchandise budget planning, and global merchandising meetings.
- Prepare and present trend presentations.
- Proven experience in leading complex negotiations.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to lead through influence.
- Analytical and creative thinker with a knack for identifying growth opportunities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with excellent cross-functional and cross-cultural communication abilities.
- Experience in retail, both online and offline (omni-channel).
- Experience in the beauty industry or a strong passion for beauty.
- Expert proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with merchant systems is advantageous.
- Strong storytelling ability for executive presentations.
