Sephora Director of Category Management
Sephora, a distinguished entity within the LVMH luxury conglomerate, is a leading beauty retailer renowned for its innovative approach to beauty and cosmetics. With a robust omni-channel presence across Southeast Asia, Sephora SEA operates over 100 stores in 8 countries, including flagship locations in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Sydney. The brand is experiencing dynamic growth, driven by new store openings and evolving business channels.
- Lead and define category strategy to optimize growth, trends, and white space.
- Drive maximum growth, space productivity, profitability, and strong 360 campaigns for category penetration.
- Manage the brand portfolio to drive differentiation, prioritizing Surge and Exclusive brands.
- Balance strategic partnerships with key selective brand groups while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Conduct commercial negotiations and joint business planning, including animations.
- Optimize assortment and productivity while establishing clear pricing principles.
- Develop a robust calendar for existing brands and plan new brand launches.
- Oversee full management responsibility, including team management, planning, and development.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain for effective planning and forecasting to achieve brand targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Strong experience in category management, retail buying, or a related field.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing category strategies.
- Experience in managing brand portfolios and supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in negotiation of complex commercial agreements.
- Strong background in assortment optimization and pricing strategies.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coach teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders.
Strong experience in category management, retail buying, or a related field with a proven track record in developing and implementing category strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
