Sephora Data Scientist Intern

- Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to transform customer, product, and campaign data into functional machine learning prototypes.
- Explore, clean, and merge large omnichannel datasets to create reliable training and evaluation sets.
- Develop and evaluate machine learning prototypes using business-aligned metrics such as AUC, CTR, redemption lift, and revenue impact.
- Build repeatable feature pipelines in Python/PySpark on Databricks and log experiments.
- Conduct offline and online experiments, develop concise reports and dashboards, and present findings to Product, Merchandising, and Engineering teams.
- Document work as well-documented notebooks or lightweight services/APIs and create clear 'how-to' documentation in Confluence.
- Graduating in 2026 or 2027 with an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
- Open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for full-time hybrid positions.
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and SQL.
- Familiarity with PySpark/Databricks is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience building and evaluating machine learning models.
- Practical data wrangling skills and comfort with large-scale datasets.
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and notebook-driven workflow.
- Clear documentation and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The target hourly pay for this position is $25.00 per hour. Actual pay depends on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
