Sephora Assistant Merchant, Skincare

- Develop detailed weekly, monthly, and semi-annual sales analyses to assess brand portfolio performance and identify sales opportunities.
- Manage brand assortments in collaboration with the Store Updates team, ensuring timely and productive updates for brand portfolios.
- Oversee vendor relationships, including price changes, testers and damages, Return to Vendor (RTV), and compliance submissions.
- Review and approve all in-store brand visual elements, managing planograms for brands and multi-branded spaces.
- Oversee SKU creation and maintenance, price updates, Invoice Review Queue, product launches and delists, and markdown chargebacks.
- Support field teams with category-related issues via the Hotline Online tool.
- Collaborate with the Planning team, DotCa, and Sephora US to support inventory and sales forecasting.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in retail management or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a buyer, merchandiser, or planner for a major retailer.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in merchant systems and MS Office suite.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Understanding of the Canadian marketplace and vendor organization.
- Knowledge of the Canadian cosmetic industry, including Health Canada regulations and product compliance requirements.
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
A minimum of 2 years in a buying, merchandising, or planning role within a major retail environment.
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in retail management or a related field.
