Sephora Assistant Accounting Manager

1. Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring adherence to schedules and conducting pre-closing meetings with accounting team leaders and finance business partners.
2. Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly statutory reports for all legal entities and branch offices, as well as quarterly financial reports to shareholders.
3. Ensure accurate and timely submission of balance sheet data, both actual and forecast, in the group reporting system and complete balance sheet reconciliation.
4. Provide flux analysis on balance sheet accounts and indirect cash flow to the group reporting team, and respond to their inquiries.
5. Coordinate the review of manual journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
6. Update the Chart of Accounts and Cost Center/Profit Center structures as needed.
7. Advise on accounting treatments and standardize booking rules to ensure compliance with IFRS and PRC GAAP.
8. Validate vendor and customer data creation and modification.
9. Support the formulation of company accounting policies and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
10. Coach team members on accounting principles and internal control requirements.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
2. 3+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in the retail sector.
3. 2+ years of managerial experience.
4. Familiarity with PRC and IFRS GAAP practices.
5. Proficiency in written and spoken English.

4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

A minimum of 3 years in General Ledger accounting and 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the retail industry.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
