Sephora Assistant Accounting Manager

- Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring adherence to schedules and conducting pre-closing meetings with accounting team leaders and finance business partners.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly statutory reports for all legal entities and branch offices, as well as quarterly financial reports to shareholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of balance sheet data, both actual and forecast, in the group reporting system and complete balance sheet reconciliation.
- Provide flux analysis on balance sheet accounts and indirect cash flow to the group reporting team, and respond to their inquiries.
- Coordinate the review of manual journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Update the Chart of Accounts and Cost Center/Profit Center structures as needed.
- Advise on accounting treatments and standardize booking rules to ensure compliance with IFRS and PRC GAAP.
- Validate vendor and customer data creation and modification.
- Support the formulation of company accounting policies and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
- Coach team members on accounting principles and internal control requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
- 3+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in the retail sector.
- 2+ years of managerial experience.
- Familiarity with PRC and IFRS GAAP practices.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A minimum of 3 years in General Ledger accounting and 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the retail industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
