- Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the Leadership team to uphold operational controls.
- Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter potential thefts.
- Adhere to all legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
- Cultivate professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
- Testify in court for criminal or civil cases as required.
- Provide training to new hires and ongoing employee training to enhance loss prevention awareness.
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to the Leadership team.
- Assist with inventory preparation and collaborate on shrinkage prevention plans.
- Minimum of 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Meet and maintain all licensing requirements as mandated by local jurisdiction.
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Capability to work across multiple locations within a market.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Compensation ranges from CAD$19.70 to CAD$23.20 per hour, with potential performance-based bonuses.
