1. Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the Leadership team to uphold operational controls.
2. Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter potential thefts.
3. Adhere to all legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
4. Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
5. Cultivate professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
6. Testify in court for criminal or civil cases as required.
7. Provide training to new hires and ongoing employee training to enhance loss prevention awareness.
8. Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to the Leadership team.
9. Assist with inventory preparation and collaborate on shrinkage prevention plans.

1. Minimum of 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
2. Meet and maintain all licensing requirements as mandated by local jurisdiction.

1. Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
3. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
4. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
5. Capability to work across multiple locations within a market.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Compensation ranges from CAD$19.70 to CAD$23.20 per hour, with potential performance-based bonuses.
