1. Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify and deter theft.
2. Adhere to legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
3. Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and accident investigations.
4. Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, law enforcement, and mall security.
5. Testify in court on behalf of the company for criminal or civil cases as required.
6. Provide training to new hires and ongoing education to employees on loss prevention awareness.
7. Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, and communicate findings to the leadership team.
8. Assist with inventory preparation and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.

1. Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
2. Meet all provincial or local licensing requirements.
3. High School diploma or equivalent.

1. Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
3. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.

Minimum 1 year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail environment.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Opportunity to work at multiple locations within a market.
