- Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the Leadership team to uphold operational controls and minimize shrinkage.
- Provide exceptional service to clients while conducting surveillance on the sales floor and utilizing CCTV systems to deter and apprehend external theft.
- Adhere to all legal and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
- Cultivate professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
- Testify in court on behalf of the company as required in criminal or civil cases.
- Conduct new hire and ongoing employee training to bolster store loss prevention awareness.
- Perform store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, and communicate findings to the Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
- Assist with inventory preparation and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.
- Minimum of 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements as per provincial or local jurisdiction.
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to work at multiple locations within a market.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Compensation ranges from CAD$19.70 to CAD$23.20 per hour, with potential for performance-based bonuses.
