1. Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the Leadership team to uphold operational controls to minimize losses.
2. Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter potential thefts.
3. Adhere to legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, searches, and evidence preservation.
4. Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
5. Cultivate professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
6. Testify in court for company-related criminal or civil cases as required.
7. Provide training to new hires and ongoing employee education to enhance loss prevention awareness.
8. Perform store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to the store Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
9. Assist with inventory preparation and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.

1. At least 1 year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail environment.
2. Meet and maintain all licensing requirements as dictated by provincial or local jurisdiction.
3. High School diploma or equivalent.

1. Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
3. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
4. Flexibility to work varied hours and days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
5. Willingness to work at multiple locations within a market.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

High School diploma or equivalent.
