1. Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with leadership to uphold operational controls.
2. Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify and deter external theft.
3. Adhere to legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
4. Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
5. Foster professional relationships with internal partners, law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
6. Testify in court for criminal or civil cases as required.
7. Provide training to new hires and ongoing training to employees on loss prevention awareness.
8. Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to leadership.
9. Assist with inventory preparation and collaborate on shrinkage prevention plans.

1. Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
2. Meet and maintain all licensing requirements as per provincial or local jurisdiction.
3. High School diploma or equivalent.

1. Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
3. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
4. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
5. Capability to work at multiple locations within a market.

Minimum 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.

High School diploma or equivalent.
