1. Safeguard store assets against theft and collaborate with the Leadership team to uphold operational controls and minimize shrinkage.
2. Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and deter external theft.
3. Adhere to legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
4. Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
5. Foster professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
6. Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases as required.
7. Provide training to new hires and ongoing employee education to enhance loss prevention awareness.
8. Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to the Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
9. Assist with inventory preparation and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.

1. Minimum of 1 year experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail setting.
2. Compliance with all licensing requirements as dictated by provincial or local jurisdiction.
3. High School diploma or equivalent.

1. Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
3. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
4. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
5. Willingness to work at multiple locations within a market.

At least 1 year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention in a retail environment.

High School diploma or equivalent.
