1. Provide professional and knowledgeable service to clients while conducting surveillance on the sales floor and utilizing CCTV to deter and apprehend theft.
2. Adhere to legal and company policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
3. Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
4. Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
5. Testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases.
6. Conduct new hire and ongoing employee training to enhance store loss prevention awareness.
7. Perform store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, communicating findings to the Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
8. Assist with inventory preparation and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.

1. One year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
2. Meet and maintain all licensing requirements as per provincial or local jurisdiction.
3. High School diploma or equivalent.

1. Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
2. Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
3. Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.

At least one year of experience in asset protection or loss prevention within a retail setting is required.

High School diploma or equivalent.
