1. Define manufacturing needs for components based on production plans, available stock, lead times, and stock policy.
2. Create and deploy supply requirements via MRP to achieve production, inventory, and cost objectives.
3. Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
4. Expedite or defer orders based on schedule or inventory changes to maintain production flow.
5. Manage inter-company flow of materials between warehouse locations.
6. Resolve purchase order issues related to invoice discrepancies, returns, and quality problems with suppliers.
7. Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation, and material lead times.
8. Set up and maintain material master system planning parameters.
9. Coordinate material flows throughout product/BOM changes, obsolescence, and new product development.
10. Manage engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory and ensure continuous supply.
11. Build and maintain operational partnerships with assigned suppliers.
12. Seek and develop new local suppliers for cost savings and reduced carbon footprint.
13. Assess and manage supplier compliance with environmental standards.
14. Coordinate supplier ramp-up and ramp-down for new product launches.
15. Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with the Plant Scheduling team.
16. Lead and participate in cost reduction initiatives by analyzing supplier and procurement processes.
17. Collaborate with internal customers to provide high-level customer service and recommend solutions.
18. Provide back-up support for supply chain functions including shipping, receiving, and material handling.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or similar discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply chain role working for a direct manufacturer.
3. Fluent in English; proficiency in French and/or German is an asset.
4. Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS training preferred.
5. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPPB, or SCMP are an asset.

1. Expert knowledge of forecasting, MRP/ERP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management, and warehousing disciplines.
2. Analytical and problem-solving skills to gather, organize, and analyze data.
3. Ability to adapt to changes and forecast demand.
4. Understanding of risk management, including supplier disruptions and currency fluctuations.
5. Knowledge of contract management and procurement regulations.
6. Ability to conduct market research and develop cost-effective strategies.
7. Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory management.
8. Customer-focused approach with a commitment to meeting expectations.
9. Agility in managing multiple roles and adapting to shifting priorities.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
11. Strategic thinking to develop viable, cost-effective strategies.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply chain role working for a direct manufacturer.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or similar discipline.
