Rimowa Industrial Engineer

- Lead the design and optimization of workstations and assembly cells, ensuring ergonomic and efficient setups that meet luxury product quality standards.
- Conduct time studies and headcount rationalization to optimize labor allocation and productivity without compromising craftsmanship.
- Design and implement optimal material flow and production layouts, considering the delicate handling of luxury materials.
- Utilize Value Stream Mapping to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in the production of luxury goods.
- Analyze lead time, throughput, and bottlenecks to implement impactful improvements, maintaining high standards of quality and exclusivity.
- Monitor production trends, recommend proactive actions, and engage production teams in continuous improvement efforts.
- Apply statistical and business process analysis to support evidence-based decision-making for process enhancements.
- Develop, communicate, and implement Lean Management strategies and policies tailored to the unique demands of luxury manufacturing.
- Train and coach employees and leaders on Lean methodologies and tools.
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors to define equipment requirements and specifications that meet precise luxury manufacturing standards.
- Prepare comprehensive product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in luxury goods or a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in implementing Lean methodologies and process improvement programs.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and employee involvement in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with AutoCAD for layout updates.
- Sigma Green Belt certification and/or Automation experience are significant assets.
