Rimowa Customs Manager

- Ensure compliance with all customs and foreign trade regulations as the designated customs officer.
- Monitor the correct application of free trade agreements.
- Classify goods using AI-supported tools according to the EU Dual-Use and Export List.
- Optimize customs duties and assess customs values in line with current regulations.
- Conduct preference calculations for goods produced in-house.
- Communicate and coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and both local and global departments.
- Train and raise awareness among internal stakeholders regarding customs compliance requirements.
- Prepare for, accompany, and follow up on customs audits and internal process optimization audits.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an Internal Control System (ICS).
- Participate in projects such as implementing self-clearance for import processes or applying for additional customs authorizations.
- Provide expert support to colleagues in day-to-day operations.
- Document and maintain customs-related information in relevant IT systems.
- Completed commercial training with a focus on customs/export or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in customs and foreign trade within an international company.
- In-depth knowledge of customs, export control, and foreign trade law.
- Experience in preparing and conducting customs audits and internal audits.
- Structured and independent working style with strong analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in German and English, both spoken and written.
Minimum 3 years of experience in customs and foreign trade in an international company.
Completed commercial training with a focus on customs/export or a comparable qualification.
