1. Ensure compliance with all customs and international trade regulations, including the operational handling of import and export processes in accordance with international trade laws.
2. Support the implementation of self-clearance for import processes and ensure timely and accurate completion of export procedures with documentation.
3. Optimize and reduce customs duties through the correct application of free trade agreements.
4. Classify goods using AI-driven tools and determine customs values as per current regulations.
5. Conduct preference calculations for goods produced in-house.
6. Document and maintain customs-related information in relevant IT systems.
7. Communicate and coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal departments.
8. Train and sensitize internal stakeholders on customs compliance requirements.
9. Prepare, accompany, and follow up on customs audits and internal audits for process optimization.
10. Contribute to the development and implementation of an Internal Control System (ICS) for customs and export control.
11. Assist in the application and management of AEO status and Authorized Consignee status.
12. Serve as the point of contact for colleagues across the organization, particularly for operational challenges and planned projects, business cases, and changes in the role as deputy customs officer.

1. Completed commercial training with a focus on customs/export or equivalent qualification.
2. Several years of professional experience in customs and international trade, preferably in an international company.
3. In-depth knowledge of customs, export control, and international trade law.
4. Experience in preparing and conducting customs audits and internal audits.

1. Structured and independent working style with strong analytical thinking.
2. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
3. Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.

Minimum 3 years

Completed commercial training with a focus on customs/export or equivalent qualification.
