1. Inspect used and returned products to assess repair needs.
2. Repair or replace defective components using specialized tools.
3. Test and adjust repaired products to meet company standards.
4. Estimate repair costs for labor and materials on used and returned products.
5. Inspect new products for manufacturer defects or shipping damage and communicate findings.
6. Operate computerized inventory and re-ordering systems for service and repair department needs.
7. Assist Head Technician in training new technicians and store employees.
8. Load, unload, and move materials manually or with equipment.
9. Perform material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.
10. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations for safe working conditions.
11. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.

1. Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent education.

1. Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
2. Attention to detail and quality.
3. Ability to work independently.
4. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
5. Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

A minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or technical environment with hands-on experience using small hand tools is required. Experience in machine operation or assembly in manufacturing is preferred, along with experience in luggage repair.

High School diploma or equivalent.
