- Develop and implement HR planning strategies in collaboration with management to forecast and meet talent pipeline requirements.
- Advise business leaders on organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes to align with business strategy.
- Provide expert HR guidance and direction to leadership teams.
- Lead and participate in cross-company strategic initiatives.
- Create and execute annual staffing plans and recruitment strategies in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
- Ensure job descriptions are current and comprehensive for all roles.
- Conduct candidate interviews to assess competencies, potential, and cultural fit.
- Manage internal transfers to enhance cross-functional and global mobility.
- Address staffing issues, including terminations and redundancies, while minimizing legal risks.
- Implement performance management practices in accordance with central and regional guidelines.
- Coach managers on executing annual performance management processes.
- Advise on handling performance issues and corrective actions.
- Conduct annual Career Committee meetings to assess employee potential and identify future talent.
- Guide managers in developing and implementing individual development plans.
- Maintain potential ratings and succession data in SAP HR for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with Talent Management, Learning & Development, and Organization Development to address employee and organizational development needs.
- Execute merit and promotional increase processes.
- Advise management on compensation and incentives to maintain competitive advantage.
- Ensure alignment of compensation and benefits practices with regional standards.
- Provide feedback on the benefits program to Compensation & Benefits.
- Implement HR strategies to support divisional change initiatives.
- Facilitate open communication processes and improve employee-management relations.
- Enhance working conditions in collaboration with divisional management.
- Advise employees at all levels to address and prevent issues.
- Support HR administration by providing data to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Assist HRBP team and employees with ad-hoc requirements.
- 5+ years of HR experience, including Talent Acquisition and HR administration.
- 10+ years of overall work experience, preferably in the retail industry.
- Fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English.
- University degree.
- In-depth understanding of labor law, compensation and benefits, and HR operations.
- Strong communication skills.

A minimum of 5 years in human resources roles, with over 10 years of total professional experience, ideally within the retail sector.
