Richemont Accounting Manager

Richemont is a Swiss-based luxury goods holding company that owns and manages a portfolio of high-end maisons across jewellery, watchmaking, leather goods and writing instruments. 1. Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities for the Japan entity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
2. Prepare and review consolidated and statutory reporting in accordance with IFRS and Japanese GAAP; coordinate with regional and HQ reporting teams.
3. Manage general ledger integrity, reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany accounting and account analysis.
4. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies; support internal and external audits.
5. Collaborate with tax, treasury and commercial teams to support tax filings, cash management and financial forecasting.
6. Supervise and develop a small accounting team; act as primary liaison to corporate finance, external auditors and service providers.
7. Drive process improvements and system optimisations in accounting workflows and ERP usage.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of IFRS and Japanese GAAP with demonstrated application in financial reporting.
3. Proven track record of managing month‑end close, statutory reporting and audit processes in a multinational environment.
4. Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls and supporting external audits.
5. Demonstrated people management experience, including coaching and performance management.

Typically 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a multinational corporate, professional services firm or luxury/retail environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or manager-level role responsible for financial close and reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
