Prada Group Data Engineer

- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business and technical requirements to support model evolution and digital transformation, with a focus on customer intelligence data and sales KPIs.
- Design, maintain, and enhance key datasets to ensure high quality, certification, and accessibility for enterprise users, components, and systems.
- Analyze and develop data operations and pipelines in accordance with enterprise guidelines and best practices, including data quality processes, governance, and catalog/glossary curation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to build scalable and agile solutions.
- Develop, deploy, and manage efficient and automated data pipelines using cloud-based technologies and platform capabilities such as Azure, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Git-based CI/CD.
- Adapt to evolving requirements by maintaining and improving existing data pipelines, integrating new features and change requests using an agile approach.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in intensive data operations within Big Data and cloud infrastructures/platforms.
- Strong experience in analytics within the retail industry, focusing on modeling and leveraging sales and customer KPIs.
- Proven background in Big Data approaches and DBMS/Data Warehouse modeling, optimization, and management.
- Extensive expertise in data preparation, integration, modeling, and governance processes.
- Experience in designing and managing end-to-end production-ready solutions.
- Proficiency in developing microservices and APIs solutions (e.g., REST, OAuth).
- Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and Spark-related programming languages.
- Proficiency in configuring and utilizing cloud infrastructures and platforms, with a preference for Microsoft Azure services.
- Familiarity with stream-processing systems and lambda architectures, including Delta Live Tables, Azure Event Hubs, and Spark Streaming.
- Good knowledge of retail and/or customer-related processes and backend operational systems.
3+ years in data operations, particularly within Big Data and cloud platforms, with a focus on retail analytics.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
