Pomellato 3D Technical Designer

Pomellato is a Milan-based house of contemporary fine jewellery celebrated for its bold use of coloured gemstones and artisanal goldsmithing. 1. Design and industrialize new jewellery collections in collaboration with Product Development.
2. Redesign and optimise existing lines to enhance manufacturability, process efficiency and product quality.
3. Manage end-to-end development projects, coordinating with internal modelmakers and external suppliers or collaborators.
4. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, datasheets and the information packages required for production.
5. Operate and perform routine maintenance on 3D prototyping equipment to support rapid iteration and sample production.

1. 2–3 years of experience in a similar 3D design or technical role, preferably within jewellery or luxury accessories manufacturing.
2. Proven knowledge of Rhinoceros 3D and general 3D CAD workflows at a medium-to-advanced level.
3. Practical familiarity with 3D rapid prototyping technologies and basic machine operation.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
5. Critical thinker able to propose alternative, unconventional solutions to design and production challenges.

2–3 years in 3D design/CAD roles, ideally with hands-on exposure to jewellery product development or precision accessories manufacturing.

Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Jewellery Design, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent vocational or on-the-job training in jewellery CAD and prototyping accepted.
