- Develop and direct all financial and fiscal policies, providing financial information to senior management and controlling financial plans, including annual budgeting.
- Provide high-quality financial analysis on business performance, identifying risks and opportunities for management.
- Develop and recommend financial programs, future capital requirements, and negotiate borrowings.
- Analyze financial implications of operational decisions, new business, and acquisitions.
- Oversee preparation of statutory returns and manage overall credit exposure, minimizing risks while considering commercial needs.
- Maintain regular contact with bankers, legal advisors, auditors, and major clients to manage the company's financial position.
- Negotiate leases on office and warehouse premises, making recommendations to the President.
- Evaluate marketing recommendations from a financial and strategic viewpoint, ensuring risks and benefits are identified and actionable.
- Develop systems to monitor A&P spend and commitments, tracking and evaluating effectiveness with the President.
- Evaluate distribution options, joint ventures, and conduct feasibility studies, proposing accordingly.
- Ensure daily operations comply with local laws and regulations.
- Direct and manage the Supply Chain function, ensuring strategies are implemented and operations are effective.
- Optimize demand planning, supply, stock levels, and monitor product quality.
- Ensure efficient delivery and warehousing at optimal cost.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a professional accounting qualification; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a financial function, familiar with trading environments and commercial issues.
- Understanding of the FMCG/drinks industry is advantageous.
