- Prepare corporate income tax returns with support from tax firms, focusing on August and year-end to March timelines.
- Prepare consumption tax returns and fixed asset tax returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Manage tax audits and oversee transfer price documentation preparation from July to September.
- Execute general ledger responsibilities, including journal entries, balance sheet preparation, reconciliation, variance analysis, and statutory reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly account closings, identifying unusual transactions and movements.
- Manage financial audits and audit report preparation, particularly from September to March.
- Support ad hoc requirements and in-market change management communication as directed by the Regional Centre of Excellence.
- University graduate with a degree in Finance or Accounting.
- More than 5-7 years of experience in accounting within US or European multinational companies.
- Strong background in accounting and tax, with experience in tax firms being advantageous.
- Native or fluent level of Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
- Proficiency in financial accounting (IFRS) and strong Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP ECC and automation tools such as Excel macros, Power BI, or programming languages.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of staff.
- Integrity, results-driven, proactive, and self-starting attitude.
- Ability to work independently and in multi-country teams remotely.
Candidates should possess more than 5-7 years of experience in accounting within US or European multinational companies, with a strong background in accounting and tax.
University graduate with a degree in Finance or Accounting.
