Moët Hennessy Microbiology Assistant Engineer
Moët Hennessy, the Wines and Spirits Division of the LVMH Group, encompasses twenty-seven iconic Houses, including MHCS – Moët Hennessy Champagne Services. MHCS brings together the Champagne Houses and the Support and Resource functions to serve their operations.
- Manage projects related to the use of microorganisms in oenology.
- Collaborate with existing teams to phase, implement, and monitor trials, analyses, and interpretations.
- Select and characterize yeasts and lactic acid bacteria.
- Correct raw materials through processes such as acidification and desugaring.
- Liaise with Moët Hennessy Houses regarding project demands.
- Finalize yeast selection and determine optimal fermentation conditions for the 2025 campaign.
- Analyze and conduct strain trials with external partners in preparation for the 2025 harvest.
- Facilitate a community focused on the application of microorganisms in oenology.
- Develop and maintain a share-point dedicated to applied microbiology in oenology.
- Provide elements for the drafting of the Research Tax Credit (CIR).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in oenological microbiology or equivalent.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent integration capabilities.
- Knowledge of wine microorganisms, particularly yeast and lactic acid bacteria metabolism.
- Technical and analytical skills for developing methodologies to screen strains of interest.
- Strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
- Familiarity with classical microbiology and molecular biology tools.
- Understanding of oenology, especially fermentation phases and associated techniques.
