Head of Fundraising

The Michelangelo Foundation is dedicated to promoting and perpetuating the work of artisans who devote their lives to creativity and human savoir-faire. Based in Geneva, the Foundation seeks to expand its programs both nationally and internationally, fostering a culture of creativity and craftsmanship.

1. Design, implement, and monitor a comprehensive fundraising strategy and multi-year plan.
2. Develop strategic relationships within the philanthropy and business communities.
3. Cultivate and strengthen existing donor relationships and manage donor accounts.
4. Develop a gift acceptance policy and due diligence process.
5. Research and develop a portfolio of potential donors.
6. Work with the Executive Team and Board to leverage networks for new contacts and funders.
7. Ensure consistency of messaging in all fundraising communications.
8. Achieve defined KPIs and forecast revenue and expenses.
9. Develop systems for donor tracking and gift processing.
10. Manage internal approval processes for fundraising proposals.
11. Manage one Fundraising Assistant.

1. Master’s degree in business, marketing, or communication.
2. In-depth knowledge of the philanthropy environment and techniques.
3. In-depth knowledge of luxury and fine crafts related business.

8. Fluency in French and English; Italian is a plus.

12+ years of management experience with a record of fundraising success securing high-value gifts. Proven record of building and implementing strategic programs in a senior leadership role. Experience in line-managing a successful fundraising team, reporting, budgeting, and using donor relationship management tools.
