Alexander McQueen Store Director

- Set and implement the store strategy and vision to achieve financial targets and maximise sales performance.
- Lead daily store operations including loss prevention, inventory controls, merchandising standards, and budget management to meet operating objectives.
- Drive an exceptional client experience across all touchpoints; champion client acquisition, retention and a strong private appointment culture.
- Analyse store performance and propose targeted action plans; communicate KPIs and performance standards to the team.
- Develop and coach the retail team through regular performance reviews, monthly coaching, recruitment, onboarding and talent development.
- Promote omnichannel awareness and encourage the use of digital tools and CRM to personalise client relationships and capture meaningful customer data.
- Represent the brand locally to increase foot traffic, promote events and partnerships, and capture competitive market share.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, visual merchandising guidelines and headquarters directives; participate in buying feedback when requested.
- Significant sales management experience in retail, ideally within luxury or high‑end fashion environments.
- Proven track record of driving store performance and delivering against commercial KPIs, including P&L and budget management.
- Strong coaching and team development skills with experience conducting performance reviews and succession planning.
- Commercial awareness and strong business acumen, including ability to interpret sales metrics and market trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in public speaking and stakeholder engagement.
- High level of organisation, resilience under pressure, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays; ability to lift and handle light inventory and climb ladders safely.

Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury or premium retail, with demonstrated responsibility for store-level P&L, team leadership, client development and operational excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Fashion or related field preferred, or equivalent professional retail leadership experience.
