Purchasing Specialist (Embroidery)

Alexander McQueen is a luxury fashion house founded by Lee Alexander McQueen in 1992. Since 2001, it has been part of the Kering Group and, as of December 2023, is under the creative direction of Seán McGirr. 1. Manage the purchase of embroidery for sample and production phases for Alexander McQueen apparel.
2. Collaborate closely with external suppliers and key internal departments such as Product Development, Pattern Making, Order Entry, and Production Planning.
3. Gather information from the Design team regarding embroidery purchases and consult on supplier selection.
4. Act as the point of contact for embroidery suppliers in Italy and abroad, collecting information on costs, materials, and processing times.
5. Maintain the sample budget for embroidery.
6. Oversee all stages of purchase order management for samples and production, from system data entry to cost information input and order issuance.
7. Work with Merchandising to monitor the production budget and directly negotiate production costs with suppliers.
8. Coordinate with other teams on planning, production purchases, and related reporting.

1. Demonstrated ability to exhibit the Key Behaviours required by Alexander McQueen.
2. Significant experience in a similar role with a focus on embroidery.
3. Knowledge of garment construction is a plus.
4. Excellent command of the English language.
5. Willingness to travel.
