- Determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule Classifications for EU, US, and CA products and create a seasonal compliance master.
- Provide duty rates to production and finance teams and assist with duty inquiries and tariff engineering.
- Manage customs brokerage and shipment clearance inquiries, maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures.
- Identify free trade agreement opportunities and create necessary documentation and certifications.
- Conduct customs entry audits, ensuring data accuracy and proper duty/tax payments, and manage entry recordkeeping.
- Plan and coordinate logistics and customs clearance for special projects, events, and high-volume periods.
- Assist in monitoring inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Resolve transportation delays, damaged goods, or delivery discrepancies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Input and manage international trade data in the ERP system, auditing for accuracy.
- Manage duty drawback programs for the United States and Canada.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain communication and coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Stay informed on transportation trends and customs regulations to improve processes and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Support supply chain teams, including planning and distribution, managing tasks and workflow efficiently.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, customs compliance, or supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business/Trade, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in harmonized schedule classifications, origin determination, and customs compliance for garments and fashion accessories.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in logistics, including international shipping requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for working with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to track orders and shipments accurately.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to logistics issues and time-critical shipment management.
- Multitasking and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and data management.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical skills for auditing and improving logistics processes.
Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, customs compliance, or supply chain management.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business/Trade, or a related discipline.
The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on the candidate's relevant skills and experience.
