The Shared Service Center (SSC) in Tokyo serves as a pivotal hub for financial and business analysis, supporting strategic decision-making for the group.
- Conduct periodic sales analysis and reporting for management and headquarters, including weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.
- Ensure compliance with company operations through internal control, risk management, and contract management.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of budgets and forecasts in alignment with corporate directives.
- Analyze and monitor economic trends and retail market conditions to support strategic planning activities.
- Monitor and analyze sales and expense variances, reporting findings to department heads and headquarters.
- Support inventory, gross margin, and profitability analysis.
- Perform monthly analysis and prepare explanations on actual versus forecast for headquarters, addressing ad-hoc requests.
- Act as a finance business partner for the front-end operation team, providing financial analysis and decision support.
- Propose improvement actions to meet company targets, highlighting risks and opportunities through insightful analytics.
- Support the implementation of new finance and business controlling tools and applications.
- Schedule necessary meetings and contribute to company activities such as family sales and seminars.
- University graduate; MBA/CPA is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and business analysis within a multinational company
- Knowledge of retail, fashion, or FMCG is preferable
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive and problem-solving attitude
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to develop strong working relationships across departments
- Positive, proactive, agile, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset
- High attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture
- Proficiency in storytelling through data analysis and visualization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects under pressure
5+ years of experience in financial planning and business analysis within a multinational company.
University graduate; MBA/CPA is a plus
