LVMH Materials Innovation Laboratory Manager — Long‑Wear Technologies
LVMH Recherche is the central research and innovation hub supporting the Houses of LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics. The centre brings together interdisciplinary scientific talent to develop high‑performance ingredients, formulations and processes for luxury skincare, makeup and fragrance, and works closely with external partners and internal Maisons within the LVMH group.
- Lead the Materials Innovation Laboratory — Long‑Wear Technologies and define the laboratory’s strategic R&D roadmap for ultra long‑wear across makeup, skincare and fragrance.
- Conceive and develop disruptive material and polymer technologies that deliver radical improvements in long‑wear performance and consumer perception.
- Design, implement and validate new physico‑chemical and in vitro characterization methods to evaluate, prove and optimise material performance.
- Manage, mentor and structure a technical team; prioritise and steer the laboratory’s project portfolio to meet scientific and commercial milestones.
- Establish and maintain scientific partnerships with suppliers, startups and academic partners to accelerate innovation.
- Oversee technology transfer to downstream teams, ensuring robust documentation and continuous technical support during scale‑up.
- Own the laboratory budget from conception through execution and contribute to technical problem resolution and weekly reporting to senior management.
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) minimum in materials physico‑chemistry, polymer science or equivalent; PhD strongly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in an industrial R&D environment, ideally within cosmetics.
- Proven expertise in physico‑chemical characterization of materials and polymers and in cosmetic formulation science.
- Track record of managing technical teams and leading multidisciplinary projects to delivery.
- Demonstrated leadership, product vision and ability to align scientific excellence with business objectives.

At least 10 years of progressive experience in industrial R&D with significant exposure to polymer/materials development and formulation; prior experience in cosmetics is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success in laboratory management and cross‑functional project leadership is required.
