- Assist in analyzing historical sales data and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional activities and new product launches into demand planning.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory and recommend actions to minimize excess stock.
- Coordinate with production teams to develop and maintain production schedules.
- Ensure that production plans align with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain activities.
- Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with other departments, including Merchandising, procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment of activities.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning or a similar role such as sales planning or inventory planning.
- Fluent business level of Japanese and English is required.
- Candidates are required to submit their resumes in both Japanese and English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in analytic tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Delivering high-quality results.
