- Ensure ongoing accuracy, reliability, and integrity of inventory and general financial data.
- Plan, organize, and control inventory accounting for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings under Group guidelines.
- Monitor inventory movement and balance across stores, warehouses, and head office.
- Lead stock reconciliation between systems with IS&T and concerned departments to ensure data consistency and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile all inventory balances in all systems involved.
- Calculate inventory depreciation biannually.
- Monitor inventory destruction on a monthly basis.
- Manage closing allowance in liaison with the HR team.
- Monitor duty and freight rates monthly and track discrepancies between standard rates.
- Process inventory consumption in SAP for head office usage.
- Prepare inventory documentation and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
- Attend stocktaking at stores and warehouses with external auditors.
- Develop inventory analysis reports and analyze variances.
- Assist in improving internal controls related to inventory.
- Participate in UAT for inventory-related projects.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and reporting on general accounting, including payroll and accruals.
- Responsible for intercompany reconciliation and corresponding reports.
- Manage balance sheet files to upload account balances and movements on the Group reporting system for closing and reconcile errors/discrepancies.
- Process and reconcile AR and AP transactions with intercompanies.
- Issue recharge invoices to Louis Vuitton Malletier.
- Support team members in other accounting processes.
- University degree in Economics, Finance, or Business; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience in an operational company or audit firm.
- Proficiency in Business Japanese and English.
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Experience in SAP is advantageous
- Experience in the retail business is beneficial
- Strong analytical and synthetic skills
- Action-oriented
- Ability to work under stress
- Ability to develop good working relationships with all departments
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
University degree in Economics, Finance, or Business; CPA preferred.
