- Collaborate with the model maker to create a complete product prototype from start to finish, including cutting, preparation, and assembly.
- Ensure the availability of research prototypes that meet style requirements and are suitable for industrial duplication for showroom presentations, adhering to style, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Identify and propose improvements to enhance cost, deadline, quality, and feasibility of products or reduce waste rates.
- Understand and execute specific leather goods assemblies within the required timelines and quality standards.
- Respect the technical dossier (process) provided by the model maker.
- Propose solutions to encountered constraints and optimization paths through technical knowledge and collaboration with prototyping sites.
- Deliver prototypes or duplicates within expected timelines and quality levels, ensuring industrial viability.
- Provide alternative solutions to meet margin requirements or expected quality levels.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including prototype completion timelines, stylist feedback, and product conformity to design guidelines.
- Diploma equivalent to Bac +2 in fashion-related fields such as BEP métiers de la mode, BTS métier de la mode-chaussure maroquinerie, or CAP maroquinerie.
- Strong expertise in leather goods assembly and prototyping.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with model makers and other team members.
- Proficiency in identifying and implementing product improvements.
- Excellent understanding of technical dossiers and design guidelines.
- Capability to propose innovative solutions to design and production challenges.
A minimum of 3 years of significant experience in roles such as leather goods maker, prototype maker, or product developer, with a strong analytical understanding of workshop organization.
Diploma equivalent to Bac +2 in fashion-related fields.
