Louis Vuitton Materials Sourcing Specialist - Leather Goods

- Conduct material research and sourcing for the creative teams, ensuring rapid solutions that meet stylistic requirements.
- Promote re-use, circular creativity, and eco-friendly materials.
- Manage budgets proactively.
- Maintain constant awareness of market innovations and share supplier innovations with designers.
- Expand network and knowledge through competitor visits, supplier interactions, and specialized trade shows.
- Organize and manage orders and material supply for product prototyping, adhering to timelines and requirements.
- Create new materials in the database to ensure seamless operation with the materials room and project development.
- Monitor budget, including tracking and updating orders in PLM.
- Coordinate sourcing activities between Style and Suppliers during the creation phase.
- Collaborate with material developers and project buyers to construct collections.
- Ensure alignment of material strategy with project needs and manage risk analysis.
- Engage style and marketing stakeholders to ensure collection coherence with allocated budget.
- Lead supplier panel development through roadcamp initiatives.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles within the fashion industry (ready-to-wear, leather goods, sportswear, lingerie, technical clothing, accessories).
- Strong project management skills with proficiency in PLM and CCPM tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken (Italian is a plus).
Minimum of 5 years in similar roles within the fashion industry, including ready-to-wear, leather goods, sportswear, lingerie, technical clothing, or accessories.
Advanced degree in Engineering, Business School, University, or equivalent.
